It has been one hundred days since the UK voted to leave the European Union. During this time, an enormous amount of discussion has taken place on how this might affect business in the UK and its relationships overseas. With very little debate in the media on how this might affect Savile Row, we gathered the views of Brian Lewis and Malcolm Plews - who have between them over a century's worth of bespoke tailoring experience. While considering the issues and pitfalls around predicting the future, we look ahead to life around Savile Row post-Brexit.
No one really wants to think about death too much in the West. Somewhere along the line we were taught to stay schtum on the subject and push it into the shady corners of taboo. Yet death, awaits us all. It’s an absolute certainty and with death comes life and in life we try to bring as much colour as possible.
Imogen Wall is approaching the end of her photography degree. Originally from Surrey, she chose Savile Row and its people as her final project and in doing so opened the door to a fascinating world which has seen her visiting numerous houses around Savile Row and photographing its people, tools and spaces.
