The Duke of York Coat Part II

Last month we shared the first of two coats made by ourselves for the Duke of York. The coat is around 125 years old and was owned by the Duke in 1893, 17 years before he took the throne in 1910 to become King George V.

We do not know an awful lot about the previous coat, and we know even less about this unfortunately. However, Brian, believes it to be a ceremonial coat that may have been made  for when he was an Honouree Colonel of the 3rd Middlesex Artillery Volunteers. We hope however, you have enjoyed viewing our past bespoke work. We have!
