Churchillian Green Velvet Smoking Jacket

Back in May 2018, we shared a wonderful bespoke creation from Brian Lewis: a velvet smoking jacket.

The jacket is inspired by Winston Churchill's time in the 4th Hussars in the late 19th Century. Brian borrowed elements from Churchill's mess kit, most notably the embroidery, to decorate the sleeves and pocket openings. Continued below…

This particular jacket follows that of our previous garment in that it is single-breasted with a peak lapels. The jacket is made using cotton backed velvet and pure silk for the facings (lapels). However, this garment is made using green velvet which, we think you might agree, looks particularly stylish.

This wonderful smoking jacket is a bespoke garment. If anyone is interested in having one made please contact us and ask for Brian Lewis.
